  • Receive our trustee handbook and checklist

  • Sign Certificate of Trust authorizing the Trustee to act

  • Connect with a CPA to get a tax identification number for the trust

Step 2:

  • Notify heirs and beneficiaries

  • Schedule critical dates and deadlines

  • Sign and record Affidavits and Certificates for real estate

  • Gathering assets and pay final expenses of the estate

  • Sign small estate affidavits as needed to gather assets left out of trust

  • Set dates for check-in meetings with your trust attorney

  • Final review

  • Transfer of real estate and other assets to trust beneficiaries

  • Establish trust funds as needed

  • Work with a CPA to file the trust and estate tax returns

Step 3:
